In this article, I talk about how you can set up your phone and laptop to automatically communicate via bluetooth. The first step is to figure out what kind of phone and laptop you’d like to use. I typically use a Samsung galaxy. From there, you can get a bluetooth adapter that will work with your phone.

The issue with bluetooth is that it can only communicate in a certain limited range. For instance, the one I use has a range of about 20 feet. That’s not really enough for a phone to be able to talk to a laptop, let alone a laptop to talk to a phone.

A much better way to do this is to have a wireless connection between a laptop and a pda. The way this works is that you get a wireless router so you can get a signal from your laptop to your phone. This is easier said than done, but I’ve seen it work well enough to not recommend it for everyone.
